- Record the appliance type and approximate dimensions.
- Check the manufacturer instructions or a qualified tradesperson before disconnecting water, gas, or electrical connections.
- Empty food and personal contents.
- Measure the exit route and note steps or elevator access.
- Ask the provider how the appliance will be handled and where it may be taken. Do not assume ordinary trash collection accepts it.
